The method
Thousands of photographs become millions of points of light.
The technique is called Gaussian splatting. We photograph the house from every position a person could stand, and many they could not. Software then places millions of soft points of colour and light precisely in space, until the rooms exist again — not as a model with pictures stretched over it, but as the light itself.
That is why a scan holds what photographs of interiors usually lose: the sheen of polished plaster, the glow through linen, the depth of a view through three open doors.

Where we take care
Mirrors, glass and moving water.
These are the hardest things to capture, and the houses we work in are full of them. We plan for them on site and finish them by hand in the studio. If something will not meet our standard, we say so before we begin — not after.

Questions
What people ask first.
How is this different from a Matterport tour?
A Matterport-style tour is a set of 360° photographs you jump between. A scan is a single continuous space you move through freely, with the real light and materials of the house. The two can sit side by side, but they do not feel alike.
How long does the capture take?
Most villas are captured in a single day. Large estates with extensive grounds can take two. The house needs to be empty of guests, and looking the way you want it remembered.
When do we receive it?
We agree a delivery date before we begin, and keep it. The scan, film, aerial and plans arrive together.
Can private things be removed?
Yes. Art, safes, photographs, documents, screens and security hardware can be removed or obscured, and whole rooms can be left out. We agree this before the capture day.
Will it work on a guest’s phone?
Yes. The scan opens in the browser from a link. There is nothing to install.
What does it cost?
Each house is quoted individually, by its size, its grounds and what you need delivered. Collections are quoted as a portfolio. Tell us about the property and we will reply with a clear figure.
